Introduction to Flameworking

This class is designed to give students a basic overview of flameworking, a method using glass rods or tubes and a blowtorch to heat and manipulate the glass into an object. Students will explore a variety of techniques and tool usage, also learning about safety and equipment usage . Students will use clear borosilicate glass, supplemented by color application, in which both solid rod and hollow tubing will be used.
