Responsible adults are faced with the difficult challenge of safeguarding children exposed to the internet. As technology advances, so does the way children use this media. Those who educate, supervise, counsel or directly interact with children, including parents, need to be aware of both the current and upcoming trends in internet applications and methods predators use to victimize children.
The instructor will guide the class on a detailed journey into the methods internet predators use to victimize children. The course will also provide attendees with information to better supervise and protect children in their care. Various programs and hardware along with practices for internet use will be discussed. At the end of this course, participants will have a better understanding of how internet crimes against children are committed and knowledge of the proper method for reporting such incidents.
