Requirement: 1 year or more of hot glass experience.
In this intermediate to advanced class students will be encouraged to illustrate their lives in glass.
We will draw from other interests and parts of our lives besides art and glass to influence our ideas and concepts. Technically, this class will explore the logic and physics of glassmaking. We will not be making vessels but we will use the bubble sculpturally. This class will also cover solid and core sculpting, bit work, common and special situation punties, and garage work. We will learn how to draw and disect objects in order to be able to make parts and assemble pieces into the final object.
