Designed for amateurs and first-time brewers, this course explores the process of home brewing beer from start to finish. Topics include brewing with malt extract; a brief history of brewing; necessary equipment; cooking and cooling the wart; fermentation; bottling and carbonation; and alternative styles of brewing. If you can boil water, you can brew beer! Register today, as class size is limited to the first 25 students.
Instructors: Sean C. Woods and Stephen Ashby (both are amateur brewers)
Day/Time: February 18 - March 25, 2010 (5 sessions, skips March 18) Thurs., 6:30-8:30 pm $149 (includes supplies for in-class brewing, but not individual brew kits, which are not required for participation.)
