Beginning November 26 in conjunction with Light Up Louisville, the Frazier Museum will be host to "Holidays Around the World," a celebration of holiday traditions found throughout Louisville's diverse communities. It ranges from trees decorated as they would be in countries that observe the Christmas holiday, to cultural trees and displays showcasing holidays observed throughout the year in other countries.
Each tree or display is accompanied by information describing the decorations and, at specific times, volunteers from each country or culture are present to talk with visitors. To add to the festivities, during the week of December 13-17, choirs from area schools will perform holiday music in the Frazier Museum’s Great Hall. On Saturday, December 11, as part of a very special SECOND SATURDAY family day, the Frazier Museum will host an international holiday festival featuring entertainment, sales and food from the "Holidays Around the World" participants.
This unique display, featuring 30 trees and displays, will run through January 2 and is free with museum admission.
