It's a Healthy Boobies Party, and it's serious fun.
This women's breast health awareness event is for you, your girlfriends, sisters, mothers, and coworkers. It's happening tonight, May 21, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Shine: A Wellness Studio, 727 E. Jefferson Street (parking lot at 732 E. Market). Space for this event is limited, so make like a mammogram and squeeze yourself in, (502) 657-9300.
The Healthy Boobies Party is free for cancer survivors, and just $5.00 for the rest of us.
Through her breast health awareness event, Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Lymphatic Specialist, Christal Williams focuses on stimulating the movement of lymph through her education of lymphatic breathing, stretching, and massage to create a "flowing river" of lymphatic drainage, which in her experience helps to maintain soft, squishy (healthy) breast tissue. She often works 1-on-1 with cancer patients to soften tissue before breast reconstruction, and with anyone who has a genetic predisposition for breast cancer, working to soften dense breasts that may be congested with lymph.
Not only will you benefit from breast health education that you've never heard, you'll be empowered with a routine to "improve your breast health, shoulder posture, and peace of mind." Appropriate attire is of the comfortable, yoga variety, and bringing your own mat is optional, but do plan to spend some time on the floor.
