The Forest of Fright has returned with a vengeance! Creators have unleashed their insanity to bring you the deepest, darkest, most 
hideous experience ever. Travel through Dracula’s 50-foot castle. Find yourself mysteriously wandering helplessly across an endless lake of terror. Encounter the horror that lies within the walls of the house on the haunted hill, where you’ll beg its inhabitants to stop their night of revenge. The Forest of Fright opened Friday, September 16 and is opened through Sunday, October 30. The forest is opened from dusk until 1 am on Friday and Saturday evenings, and Thursday through Sunday Halloween week. Fear Factory

For many years, The Metro Pharmaceutical Factory manufactured the most widely used drugs for the treatment of paranoia, anxiety, and related mental disorders, until it was discovered that its top-selling drug actually had the adverse effect, not curing, but intensifying fears in patients by producing hallucinations so horrifying that its victims were driven insane. The factory was closed in the wake of the resulting lawsuits. It was rumored that experimentation with these drugs took place on unsuspecting human subjects. A team sent in to investigate these claims never returned. Local residents report strange noises emanating from the abandoned factory to this day, and they believe it to be still inhabited by the victims of medical experiments gone awry. Today, they no longer call it Metro Pharmaceutical, they call it The Fear Factory. Tickets $12.95 and can be purchased during normal operating hours.

Nightmare Run is an annual Halloween road rally event in which you compete with other participants, not by speed, but by using clues to attempt to follow a pre-determined course. You may start from any of three locations and navigate your way through the Louisville area. At the Start Gate, you will receive Clue Pages containing two-line clues. The object is to work together with the other passengers in your vehicle to decipher the clues correctly, thereby making the correct turns.

Ghosts of Old Louisville Tour
A brisk fall day is the perfect time to stroll the streets of Old Louisville. An overcast sky overhead and dead leaves underfoot - and just enough chill dampness in the air to make you pull your coat tighter around you…this is the best time to amble along the old streets and alleys, admiring the imposing Victorian architecture while the smell of apples and wood smoke spices the air. The boxwood hedges surrounding the mansions and townhouses still have their summer green, but most of the towering trees have lost their leaves and can only rattle bare branches to protest the gathering winds. If you’re lucky, you might pass one of the old gas lamps at just the right moment when dusk reluctantly surrenders the last of its daylight to night and hear the click and hiss of the lantern coming on in a feeble attempt to ward off the dark. This is the time that ghosts start to wander the streets of Old Louisville.
