Summer reading programs are not just for kids and teens! The New Albany-Floyd County Public Library's Adult Summer Reading Challenge started on May 27 and runs through July 26. Those who wish to participate can sign up by registering at the Reference Services Desk or by heading to the website and following links to "Books and More," and then click on "Adult Summer Reading Club." You will be prompted to fill out a short review of your book online then submit it. Each time you submit a review, your entry will be eligible for a chance at some great prizes. The drawings for prizes will be held each Friday beginning June 6.
There are also chances to win several grand prize drawings including a Kindle, a free haircut/style from Strandz and Threadz, a gift card to Derby Dinner Playhouse and coupons to various restaurants. For more information call 812-949-3523.

Join the Southern Indiana Genealogical Society meeting at the New Albany-Floyd County library's Strassweg Auditorium for a viewing of the historical documentary, "New Albany: City by the River." It's on June 5 at 7 p.m. at the library, located at 180 West Spring Street.
