    On March 19 Millard Fuller founder of Habitat for Humanity and The Fuller Center for Housing will visit Louisville as part of the kickoff of The Fuller Center of Louisville. Fuller known around the world for his lifelong work of providing affordable homes for low and very-low income people. Under his leadership Habitat for Humanity built 200,000 homes for over a million people. In 2005 Fuller and his wife Linda formed The Fuller Center for Housing which now has chapters in over 20 states and 10 countries.


    Fuller will have a busy schedule on March 19 speaking at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary followed by a ground breaking ceremony signifying Fuller Center Louisville's beginning to build and renovate homes in Louisville. He will conclude the day by speaking at Hunsinger Lane Baptist Church located at 3400 Summerfield Drive Louisville, Ky 40220 at 7:00 pm. The public is welcome to all events.


    "We are excited about the Fuller Center of Louisville getting up and running" said Glen Barton, Director or Field Operations for The Fuller Center. Barton recently visited the board of Fuller Center of Louisville to help the board prepare for successful building. "As in all large cities Louisville has a great need for safe, affordable housing. The Fuller Center provides no-profit and no-interest mortgages to those who are selected. Louisville is the first Fuller Center operation in Kentucky but we are now working with groups in two other Kentucky cities" Barton remarked. .


    The Fuller Center for Housing builds homes with volunteers at no-profit and no-interest. Homeowners and their families will pay a zero-interest mortgage and contribute sweat equity hours toward the help of building the homes.
