In Habeas Corpus Arkansas attorney, Scipio Africanus Jones, fights to save four black activist farmers, charged with murder for defending themselves against a white mob, from execution. The play is based on a true incident.
Samuel L. Kelley is a Professor of Communications at the State University of New York- Cortland. Sam’s play, Faith, Hope, and Charity: The Mary McLeod Bethune Story, was presented in the 3rd Jam, and is currently offered on JLT’s BOLD JOURNEY Tour.
