This event will not only capture the extraordinary history behind the sanitarium, it will also include the paranormal accounts which have long occupied the Waverly, one of America’s most haunted places. A variety of special events including a meet-and-greet of celebrity guests are included. The Waverly Hills Sanitarium began as a tuberculosis hospital in 1910 during the tuberculosis epidemic. With no cure or medicine to aid the afflicted, many lost their lives and succumbed to the "white plague." As the epidemic grew, the hospital expanded to accommodate hundreds of patients and in 1926, the Waverly became the most prominent place to receive treatment. Treatments; however, were often worse than the illness, and despite the advances, many died within the Waverly Hills Sanitarium. Darkness Radio will present Ghostly Encounters to reveal spirits that are living and haunting the Waverly.

Darkness Radio will host this event along with special, celebrity guests whose own expertise lies in such areas as psychic phenomenon, paranormal investigations and electronic voice phenomenon (EVP).
