Visitors to Bernheim can enjoy the form and beauty of trees throughout the winter months. But on this day we are having a special celebration of trees in winter. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. children can experience free tree inspired craft activities and tree discovery stations at the Visitor Center. Adults and families can go on self-guided walks through Bernheim's world renowned holly collection and the Sun and Shade Loop to view the numerous plant and tree specimens of winter interest. Visitors can also participate in the naturalist guided program "Getting to Know Trees in Winter" from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. to learn tree lore and winter tree identification tips. Age 13 and up.
