Friends for Hope is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of supporting adult cancer survivors, family members and caregivers through friendship, love and laughter. Monthly support group meetings are on the 1st Thursday of the month from 7-8:30 pm at Hosparus, 3532 Ephraim McDowell Drive. Friends for Hope offers two weekend retreat camps, one in the spring and one in the fall. The 2009 fall retreat camp weekend is scheduled for September 11-13, at the Kavanaugh Enrichment Center in Crestwood. Friends for Hope announces the new production of Joe Crosser’s play, Inspected by #35 to be performed Thursday through Saturday, July 30th-August 1st. A benefit for the Friends of Hope cancer support group, the nightly performances are 7 pm with a 2 pm Saturday Matinee.
