An exquisite exhibit displaying artifacts related to this mysterious and misunderstood culture will be on display, as well as interactive features.
The Samurai, artistic, philosophical, and dangerous were great warriors, and their ancient culture rich in beauty and artistry. This is explored through “Samurai,” a 3,800 sq. ft. exhibition that immerses visitors in the mysterious, and often misunderstood, world of this vanished Japanese noble class.”
Including over 200 objects including armor, swords and textiles to art, and religious items; this exhibit is exclusive to the Frazier History Museum, and features artifacts collected from around the world, including Japan, spanning 1,500 years.
“Samurai,” which is included in regular museum admission, opens to the public on Saturday, May 12 and runs through September 30, 2012. Children 14 and under get in free for the run of the exhibition. Adult admission (15 and older) is $9.50. Discounts are available for military, seniors and groups. The Frazier History Museum is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
The Frazier History Museum is located at 829 W.
