The Toonerville Trolley Neighborhood Association is proud to present the first annual “Fort George Poetry Festival”… a benefit for the Old Louisville Dog Run!

The goal of this festival is to create a venue that brings together accomplished poets and authors, as well as local up and comers, to share their works, their approach and, best of all, celebrate the written / spoken word and the arts.

Proceeds will go to the creation of the “Old Louisville Dog Run”.

Schedule of events:

· Saturday, August 28th – Opening cocktail reception with the participating poets and authors at 1223 S 1st Street. Seasonal appetizers will be served. Guest speakers will begin at 8:30. A donation of $25 per person will be requested at the door. Tickets are available at Old Louisville Visitors Center or at the door the night of the event.

· Sunday, August 29th – “Fort George Poetry Festival” from 2-5pm on the beautiful Fort George lawn (1260 Floyd Street, Old Louisville). Poets / authors Nickole Brown and Matthew Graham will be participating… others still to be announced! Food, drinks, books, etc. will be available for sale. A $5 general admission donation is requested. Additionally, an amazing VIP tent will be available for $25 per person.
