The Food for Thought lecture and luncheon series brings an insider's view to visual art to the community. Local artists are invited to present their inspirations and process, and showcase individual work. This popular program takes place on the second Tuesday of each month in the Charlotte Price Gallery, and includes lunch by Cafe Fraiche. Tickets for the monthly lecture and luncheon are $20, LVAA members and $30, non-members, reservations required.
Valerie White, an award winning fiber artist, has been creating quilts for almost 20 years. A retired art teacher from the District of Columbia Public Schools, she continues to share her love of textiles, teaching and lecturing nationwide. Her work has appeared in numerous publications. Recent exhibitions include the American Folk Art Museum in New York City and the Washington D.C. Historical Society Inaugural Celebration Exhibit.
