Bob Hill of Hidden Hill Nursery & Sculpture Garden has been working as a historian for 21st Century Parks for the past two years on its Floyds Fork Park project. Floyds Fork will encompass over 3000 acres of preserved lands in eastern and southern Louisville, along Floyd's Fork Creek, a tributary of the Salt River. The project is bordered by Shelbyville Road to the north and Bardstown Road to the south, and will be connected by a 20-mile recreational trail, a scenic park drive, and 100 miles of new hiking, biking and equestrian trails.
Hill will speak about the stories of the people who have been living along Floyds Fork, as well as what the new park will offer. In addition, Hill will talk about John Floyd, who served as a Colonel of the Kentucky Militia and later became one of Kentucky’s first judges. Hill’s Hidden Hill Nursery and Sculpture Garden is a unique mini-arboretum, sculpture gallery and nursery of unusual plants in Southern Indiana.
