Someone must have been reading my mind, or Louisville.com yesterday. Not two hours after posting about supporting independent restaurants during trying economic times I received a press release for Fleur De Licious the downtown dining week event later this month.

Among the info included in the press release was this paragraph:
“Is eating out putting a pinch on your pocket book? Louisville Downtown Management District has just the solution for you… Fleur De Licious, a week-long celebration of downtown Louisville’s cuisine. Fleur De Licious is a six-day event that allows downtown restaurants to showcase their cuisine and atmosphere. During the six-day event, patrons will be able to order off a special discounted prix-fix Fleur De Licious menu in addition to the standard menu. The Fleur De Licious prix-fix menu will include choices of each of the following; appetizer, main course and a dessert.”

Sounds pretty good right? Sign me up. Participating restaurants will be serving a from a special Fleur De Licious 3-course prix-fix menu for either $25.00 or $35.00 per person (beverages, tax and gratuity not included).

Unfortunately the website for Fleur De Licious doesn’t currently give any information about the specific prix-fix menus at participating restaurants but I’m sure they’ll get it up when we get a little bit closer to the event. They do however list the participating restaurants.

    They are:
    Bristol Bar & Grill- Downtown

    Bistro 301

    Caviar

    Hard Rock Cafe

    Los Aztecas

    Melillo's Italian Restaurant

    Park Place On Main

    Proof

    Road to Morocco

    Vincenzo's

Even though I don’t have the scoop on the specific menu items I can tell you that a 3-course meals from Vincenzo’s and Proof for $35 has me very, very interested.
