The Filson Historical Society is proud to present Filson Fridays. Meet our staff as they share the results of their research in The Filson Collections. Enjoy this summer programming every Friday at noon. On August 20, the Library Staff will hold a Q&A Panel in order to answer your research questions.
Do you have questions about the Filson Library and how to use it? For example, do you know how our library is set up and how to start researching? Come to our Q&A panel to find out! Feel free to ask anything about the various records and/or information we have in our library, including family files, Kentucky county records, Jefferson county marriage records, ancestrylibrary.com, family history books, early Louisville city directories, military records, Kentucky maps, Kentucky tax lists, newspaper clippings, historical files, artist files, and more. We can also answer questions about what kind of donations fit into our Collections in terms of books, pamphlets, etc. Please come prepared with any questions you might have about the library and we will do our best to answer them.
This lecture will begin at noon at The Filson Historical Society. There is no cost for this event, though reservations are suggested. You may reserve your seat by visiting www.filsonhistorical.org or by calling The Filson at (502) 635-5083.
