October 25th from 1-5pm the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft will be hosting an event for fiber interested folk from near and far. As in some years past, they are calling it a "Fiber Rendezvous 2008". People are encouraged to come at 1pm ond thereafter and see the exhibition. At 2pm Susan Iverson, ATA Member, well-known tapestry weaver and faculty member from Virginia Commonwealth University will speak about contemporary tapestry, how artists work in series for greater depth of expression, and the stories of 5-6 of the exhibiting artists as well as herself. Refreshments and further exploration of the show and other exhibits at the Museum follow at 3-4:30pm.
The usual $5 entrance fee will include all activities of the afternoon.
Do alert your friends and members about this special afternoon. Louisville is the 2nd and only other venue for this American Tapestry Alliance Biennnial 7 Exhibition, after its opening in Tampa FL in June 08.
