It seems as though nearly every restaurant in the city is throwing some kind of New Year’s Eve bash or special. I can’t possibly tell you about all of them but I can give you a few highlights that sound really interesting.

Asiatique is offering a four course dinner for $70 per person (alcohol, tax and gratuity not included but if you go for the early seating (before 6PM) you can get dinner for for $50 per person (alcohol, tax and gratuity not included. Seatings are for 2 hours from the reservation time.

Equus is doing five courses for $85. Meal highlights, in my opinion, include a lobster-pumpkin bisque and bananas three ways for dessert. Meat eaters will probably appreciate the Creekstone Farms Beef Tenderloin with Roasted Parsnips and Apple Compote.

The English Grill’s New Year’s Eve menu is the most expensive of the bunch at $135 per person but it may be the most interesting sounding one. It’s a five course affair including an appetizer of sautéed scallops, oyster soup and a choice a meat of seafood and butternut squash and eggplant goat cheese terrine on winter baby spinach salad. And for dessert? Chocolate Grand Marnier mousse very nice. One thing to note is that The English Grill’s $135 price tag does include tax and gratuity.
