Festival Events and Schedule
November 16-19, 2006
Designer Preview Party: November 16, 6 - 8 p.m.
In collaboration with Greater Louisville Inc. and other sponsors, tree and wreath designers are recognized for their donations to the Festival of Trees & Lights with a first glimpse of the magical wonderland they helped create.
The Snow Ball Gala: November 17, 7 p.m. – Midnight
This black tie event has become one of the most fashionable holiday parties in Louisville. The magnificent ball is surrounded on all sides with the sparkle of holiday lights. A gourmet meal precedes dancing to music by a fabulous band. Black ties for the gentlemen and ball gowns for the ladies. Tickets are $250 each or $2,500 for a Friends Table. Corporate tables are available for $3,000.

9 p.m. - 12 a.m Dancing
Silent Auction: Friday November 17 during the Snow Ball gala.
A silent auction is held during the Snow Ball. It includes luxury items such as fine jewelry, trips, dining experiences and other packages, with proceeds to Kosair Children’s Hospital.
The Ultimate Giving Experience:
Win a 2007 BMW Z4 Roadster or $40,000 in cash in the "Just for Kids" car raffle. The drawing is held Sunday, November 19.
Purchase your chance any time before or during the festival. This raffle was made possible through the generous support of Sam Swope BMW.
Children's Activities: Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19
Booths are set up with activities for kids of all ages. A small fee applies for each activity. Some of the activities include mini manicures, face paintings, and decorating gingerbread houses out of graham crackers, icing and candy. Roving and stage entertainers add to the holiday fun.
Scout Day: Sunday, November 19, 10 AM – 6 PM.
All Girl Scouts, Brownies, Boy Scouts, and Cub Scouts are invited to att/files/storyimages/the Festival with their troop, pack or family. All scouts in uniform receive an event patch for attending.
Traditional Celebrations / Cultural Themes: November 17 - November 19
Cultural traditions are on display throughout the Festival.
- Kwanzaa Celebration: Many groups within the African-American community have joined together for musical performances, Kwanzaa traditions and activities.
- Christian Heritage: Behold the manger scene in a life-size display and hear the Christmas story told by Christian Heritage volunteers.
- Jewish Lights: Learn about Judaic customs and Hanukka traditions
Tree, wreath and greenery sales: November 17 - November 19
Hundreds of beautifully decorated trees, wreaths and assorted greenery of all sizes adorn the corridors of Louisville Slugger Field. Area businesses and individuals show their support by sponsoring these trees, and creative designers generously bring them to life. Contests for the most unique designs are awarded, and all items are available for purchase to benefit Kosair Children’s Hospital.

All Events are held at Louisville Slugger Field in Louisville, Kentucky. Admission is $3.00 with an additional nominal fee for children's activities.
