Every day of the year, Café Lou Lou intertwines the city of Louisville and the state of Louisiana.

In case you’ve ever wondered, that’s also where the name “Lou Lou” derives.

Their specialty is always bringing Cajun-style and Cajun-flavored cuisines here to the river city.

And, when Louisiana’s, and arguably the entire nation’s, biggest party happens 3 states away… thanks to Café Lou Lou, you won’t even realize you’re not right on Bourbon Street!

With two locations in St Matthews on 106 Sears Avenue,

and in the Highlands on 2216 Dundee Road, guests have two choices to get their Fat Tuesday celebrations on!

Beginning at dinnertime this Tuesday February 16th, the restaurants will feature Cajun specials, Cajun music and extra special Mardi Gras décor to highlight this annual celebration.

Don’t be surprised if you see the employees wearing decorated masks and jester hats, throwing beads and showing their colors in purple, yellow and green!

If you’ve never tried Café Lou Lou, the days surrounding Mardi Gras is the best time to take in the full atmosphere.

With a menu including Pasta Jambalaya, Crispy Shrimp Lavash, Grilled Chicken Rolls, and an endless selection of other pastas, pizzas and sandwiches, Café Lou Lou has a special treat for even the pickiest patron!  The Highlands dining room will be open from 11am-10pm with the bar staying open until 11.

So, come out and see Fat Tuesday done authentically right here in Louisville!
