The Living History Committee of the 2013 Bicentennial Commission is sponsoring a style show at 11:30 on Saturday, April 9, that will cover the fashions from the early days of New Albany (1800 – 1820).
The style show will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2796 Charlestown Road in New Albany and will highlight fashions worn by the city’s founding fathers and mothers.
The cost will be $20 and will include lunch, the style show featuring both men’s and women’s fashions, and door prizes. Watch the media for more details in coming weeks about this and other activities to celebrate New Albany’s 200 years.
All proceeds from this style show will go toward sponsoring the Living History First Person Interpreters. As part of the Bicentennial Celebration these Living History Interpreters will be bringing back to life some of New Albany’s early settlers. The Interpreters will be seen around town, attending events and making visits to area schools.
