Kentucky and North Carolina recordkeeping systems for archiving historical information differ significantly. Roger Futrell will present an overview of North Carolina’s distinct records groups, sources and repositories of interest.
Mel Arnold will clear up common misconceptions concerning DNA testing, a tool that is becoming widely used in genealogical research. Workshop attendees will be assisted in determining the benefits of a DNA project to their research endeavors. Registration is required by noon on Oct. 9.
