The Halloween season can be a lot of fun. It's the only time when spotting zombies, mummies and other various members of the living dead is not a bad thing. But sometimes, it can be a little much for some of the younger kids.
So, what are some of the options for families that want to keep it a bit more simple? That's easy...there are several Fall Festivals around the area that offer families a great option to the usual Halloween fare.
One of them takes place tonight at Lifepointe Church in Middletown at their Fall Festival.
The when and where
The festivities, taking place tonight at the church at 12601 Old Henry Rd, begin at 6:30pm and last until 9:00. Admission is free, and there is a little bit of something for everyone.
The majority of the event is indoors, so weather will not be an issue. Once inside, the kids will be invited along a Trick-or-Treat Trail which will take them through themed rooms, with, of course, plenty of candy along the way. At the end of the trail? A large room filled with bouncies and games which should amuse your kids for hours.
And what would a festival during this time of year be without costumes? Deck the youngins out in their Halloween garb, and not only will they be able to show off their holiday best, but they can win prizes.
There will also be 50¢ concessions available, and door prizes.
If you're looking for something a little different for the family, and that will get the kids amped up on sugar and fun, this sounds like the event to head to.
Again, Lifepointe Church is located at 12601 Old Henry Rd, which is about 1/4 mile behind the Walmart in Middletown. The festival hours are tonight, from 6:30pm-9:00. Check out their website at www.Lifepointelville.com.
