Vinyl Soup, the premier Nashville based progressive jam-rock band, is ready to emerge with a new lineup and lots of new sounds and songs after almost a year away from live performances. By the time they take the stage for their first shows this October, basic tracking for the as yet untitled album number 3 should be complete. The band will be stretching and exploring every song from this new release while on the road this fall and winter, along with new and improved versions of their catalog tracks. Vinyl Soup's music has taken on new textures with more acoustic guitar, ethereal lap steel, shimmering moog tones and vintage string synth sounds to compliment their guitar based songwriting, plus a deeper, more melodic sense of improvisation that leans a bit more towards song-craft, while still maintaining the jam-band spirit. The band is committed to bringing their exciting and unique blend of influences to the widest audience possible over the next 2 years.

Vinyl Soup takes the stage at The Hideaway Saloon, Bardstown Rd on Saturday October 9, 2010. Show begins at 10pm
