Engineering Exposition is an annual event that is dedicated to engineers and their profession. The day long event is spent teaching students and the people of the community what engineers do and how much fun it is.
This year the day will begin with the pre-build competitions and booths will be open to everybody. The pre-build competitions consist of two activities, the Balsa Wood Bridge Competition and the Mousetrap Catapult Competition. In these two activities, students will build the contraption at home and bring it to E-Expo on March 6th and compete against other schools and students. At the booths, hosted by different Speed School societies, people may walk up and take part in a hands on activity that is both educational and entertaining. There will also be several demonstrations at these booths that show different engineering concepts at work. Then we will take a break and listen to our Keynote this year, Mr. Joe Adams, who is the current CEO at California's Discovery Science Museum and a former Imagineer at Disney Land. The afternoon will also be full of more activities and demonstrations while also beginning the Research Presentations. The research that the students will be presenting are current, cutting edge technology that is being studied here at the Speed School of Engineering. Remember all events all day are open to everybody! So come see it all and do it all!
