Eclectic Photography opens at Signatures of Switzerland County, IN
An Eclectic Show of Photography featuring the works of the Southeastern Indiana Camera Club opens Sept. 5 in the Signature Space Gallery at Signatures of Switzerland County, IN. The event will be held from 6-9 pm and is free and open to the public.
With members of both professional and amateur status, the Southeastern Indiana Camera Club was formed after a regional photography exhibit in 2006 at the former Click Gallery in Vevay. Members have ventured around the tri-state in search of new places to learn and improve on their craft including: Red Wolf Sanctuary, The Cincinnati Skyline, Spring Grove Cemetery, Jefferson Proving Grounds and the Round Barn in Switzerland County.
Collaborating with Decatur County, the troupe recently participated in a project to document over twenty stone bridges located throughout the rural county. Several of the bridge images are to be published in an upcoming calendar.
During the Signatures show, each participating artist will submit two prints on any subject they choose. Photographers represented are: Jim Waldo, Wayne Springer, Pam Acton, Bob McDonald, Bud Acton, Juliette Kniola, Mike Cooney, MaryAnn McCoy, Jade Cooney and Jackie Rayichen.
Many of the photographers will be available during the opening reception, which will also include live harp music. The public along with all interested amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to attend.
Signatures of Switzerland County is located at 120 West Main Street in Vevay, IN and is open seven days a week and after hours by appointment. The Eclectic Photography exhibit runs through the end of September.
