
The Frankfort Avenue Business Association (FABA) will host the 17th
Annual Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade on Saturday, April 11, 2009. Beginning at 11:30am in front of St. Mark’s, 2822 Frankfort Avenue, the parade will travel from Stilz to Haldeman Avenue. Participants include the Shriners, Hwang’s Martial Arts, the Wagner Marching Band, the Talking Police Car, and the Mounted Sheriff’s Posse, this year’s Grand Marshall Margaret Browning of Margaret’s Consignment and the Easter Bunny. Anyone is welcome to participate in the parade. Families and kids are encouraged to dress in costume and bring their Easter baskets to be filled with free candy. Pets are also welcome.
The "Good Ears" awards will be presented to the most creative float and the most outrageous Easter bonnet. The Judges stand will be located in front of the Irish Rover, 2319 Frankfort Avenue. Those who wish to be considered for the awards are asked to stop in front of the judges and show off their Easter Style.
