Teacher, writer, New Yorker editor and Louisville native Dwight Allen will read from and sign copies of his new novel, The Typewriter Satyr. Set in the early years of the Iraq war, The Typewriter Satyr is full of quirky characters including a Syrian coffeehouse owner who believes the Bush government is after him, a Buddhist monk from rural Wisconsin, Rabbit Master the painter, and a homeless writer who is desperately searching the streets of Midvale for a missing shoe.
