Driftwood pieces from the Falls of the Ohio will serve as resonating boards for homemade zithers, harps and "Driftars." Students will design their instruments following the natural shapes of the wood, attach tuning pegs and strings, learn about string vibration and Pythagorean musical intervals. This workshop will be led by Gregory Acker who is a musician, instrument-builder, and arts educator.
