Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson has formally opened the city's new Metro Development Center, where homeowners, builders and developers can obtain licences and permits in one location.
Abramson says the center at 444 S. Fifth Street streamlines those services and also has offices for those who need to do business with state licencing agencies.
In addition, there are offices with representatives from the Metro Development Authority, Metro Sewer District, Metro Air Pollution Control District, Metro Health Department, and Louisville Water Company.
The center is located across from the Cathedral of the Assumption.
