“Down & Derby” Time

Louisville, KY—Saturday, May 1 A fabulous group of Louisville volunteers with the support of sensational sponsors are hosting the Derby Night event-Down & Derby 2010! The primary goal of Down & Derby is to raise awareness and funding for the WINGS Clinic and The Louisville AIDS Walk. All proceeds raised through sponsors, hosts, and at the party itself are donated directly to the charitable organizations. The money donated to the WINGS Clinic is used for patient medications and laboratory studies.
Another goal of Down & Derby is to provide a welcoming place for the GLBTQ community and our friends to participate in the festivities surrounding the Kentucky Derby. The creators of Down & Derby have maintained the goal of making the party accessible and open to everyone who wishes to attend.
The final goal of Down & Derby is to create a party that is exciting, fun and memorable. Down & Derby intends to become a Kentucky Derby tradition and continue its mission for years to come.

WHO: Famous LA DJ’s-The Perry Twins spin and look hot
Roller Derby Girls socialize, skate and serve cocktails
Local Food Vendors serve late-night bites
Well-known Drag Queens and Celebrities socialize

WHAT: A Derby Splash encouraging Kentuckiana to lend their support to an on-going virus-HIV! The D& D benefits the WINGS Clinic (HIV/AIDS clinic affiliated with U of L) and the Louisville AIDS Walk.
