Ten health-care professionals and volunteers have been selected to receive awards at the 10th annual Doctors’ Ball, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 6:30 p.m. at the Marriott Louisville Downtown.
Honorees include Drs. Sam and Lolita Weakley, the Ephraim McDowell Physicians of the Year; Nicolas Simon, Community Leader of the Year; Dr. Robert Couch, Horizon Award winner; Dr. Gerald Moore, Excellence in Mental Health; Dr. Frank Miller, Excellence in Education; Dr. Jon Klein, Excellence in Research; Dr. John Hubbard, Excellence in Community Service; Dr. Gordon Tobin, Excellence in International Humanitarian Service; Susan Davis, Excellence in Nursing.
The event includes cocktails and a silent auction, dinner, an awards ceremony, live auction and dancing. Proceeds benefit the mission of Caritas Health Services.
