    The Light Before Christmas, showing in the IMAX Theatre November 14, 2008 - January 4, 2009
    After losing their way on a cold, blustery Christmas Eve, two children find themselves as characters in the classic tale "The Night Before Christmas," as they experience the wonder and delight of Santa visiting their home. This stunning stop-motion animated film features lavishly detailed sets and characters inspired by the fascinating designs of renowned artist James C. Christensen with a musical score of beloved Christmas classics.

    Let the kids enjoy even more science fun while you take care of your last-minute shopping during our Holiday Drop-n-Shop! Children will explore our exhibits and participate in a sampling of activities from our Holiday Break Camps, which start December 22.

    Holiday Family Event: Lights...Energy...Elves!

    Bring the whole family for holiday-inspired science activities, chilly science demonstrations and an exclusive showing of the IMAX(r) film THE LIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS <http://lbcmovie.com> . Help make a super-sized candy cane, dissect common holiday plants and explore them under a stereoscope, make your own snow, and even take a taste of an astronaut's holiday dinner!  Tickets include activities, the IMAX film and all-day admission to Science Center exhibits. Add the Holiday Drop-n-Shop on December 20!

    Holiday Break Camps

    8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Join us as we celebrate the season with holiday science camps! Each camp is designed as a 7-day experience, but days may be purchased individually. Bundle 3 days and save!
