Developing the Global Mind and Heart: Coming of Age as a Species with Brian Swimme, Ph.D.
13th Annual Festival of Faiths
Kentucky International Convention Center
221 South Fourth Street
Cost – $15
In this spotlighted Festival of Faiths event, Mathematical Cosmologist Brian Swimme will explore the development of a new human perspective. According to Swimme, the universe evolves in spurts. At the origin of time, there was only plasma, and then this plasma gave birth to galaxies. Similar quantum leaps have taken place in the living world. For a long time there were only single-celled organisms, and then the animals and plants sprouted forth. Another transition is underway. Human energies, having surrounded the entire world, are now challenged by a new destiny. Homo sapiens are called to awaken with a planet-sized heart and mind whose purpose is the evocation of a vibrant Earth Community.
