The guest speaker will be Louis Geirnaerdt, head wine-maker and owner of Axial Vinos, Zaragoza Espana.
Axial Wines selected for pairing with the tapas course of montaditos of Serrano ham, chorizo, goat cheese and quail egg; marinated pork with dates and Manchego cheese; soft shell crab with sherry sauce and queso de Valdeon; and an asparagus foam are Esperanza Verdejo Viura 2009, a crisp white from the Rueda region; Penelope Sanchez Tinto Joven 2008, a blend of Garnacha and Syrah from Campo de Borja; and Otto Bestue 2006, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo from the Somontano region.
