The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft (KMAC) will team up with the UofL Latin American and Latino Studies Program to honor and celebrate the Dia de los Muertos “Day of the Dead” holiday. From October 12 through November 12, KMAC will display a series of altars, including an altar dedicated to the victims of the Haitian earthquake and the Chilean earthquake, an altar honoring Frida Kahlo, a public altar where guests are invited to bring items to honor their family, friends and deceased loved ones, and an altar constructed by students in the UofL Fine Arts Department.
