Originally formed in 1993 for the purpose of fostering original alternative performances, the Alley Theatre - in conjunction with Art Sanctuary - is now honored to announce a one time engagement of “Postmodern Magic” with award winning magician, Darshwood the Conjurer. This full evening production is a one man show presented by the most preeminent sleight of hand artist currently working the city‘s cultural arena. A vivaciously charming trickster, Darshwood the Conjurer has been honing his naturally captivating skills since a very young age and now combines a barrage of outrageously, witty antics with expert knowledge in psychology and misdirection to create this elegant composition of spellbinding allure for an intimate encounter with the extraordinary that his audience will certainly never forget. Recently honored with a People’s Choice Award for “Close-up Magic” by the Louisville chapter of the Society of American Magicians - this innocent deceiver has been warming the hearts of patrons in galleries, restaurants, bars and other local hot spots all over town for the past two years, regularly performs for private functions and even made an appearance at Churchill’s “Downs After Dark” events earlier this summer but for just one night spectators will receive an unforgettably unique experience as Darshwood provides an enchanting demonstration of classical magic with the cutting edge style and technique that has made him such a highly acclaimed practitioner of the craft.
