Join Proof on Main chef Michael Paley for an epic culinary journey. The evening will feature Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein, James Beard Nominated Chef Kevin Nashan from Sidney Street Café and Food & Wine Magazine Best New Chef Gerard Craft from Niche restaurant in St. Louis.
Goldstein, a renowned chef, educator and writer, will be celebrating the release of his latest book, Daring Pairings. The book explores the flavors and pairing potential of thirty-six distinctive grapes from around the world. Goldstein matches each grape to the recipe of a star chef, including Hubert Keller of Fleur de Lys in San Francisco and Michelle Bernstein of Michy’s in Miami. The book demonstrates how anyone can bring emerging wine varieties such as Grenache, Malbec and Grüner Veltliner to the home table, and offers advice on crafting unforgettable wine and food pairings. Tickets to the dinner include a copy of Daring Pairings, and Goldstein will be in the Proof bar signing books prior to the event. Additional copies of Daring Pairings will be available for purchase at that time through Carmichael’s Bookstore.
