Fans piled into the general admission area of The Mercury Ballroom last night to show love for Curren$y’s on his 16th stop of his 2015 Pilot Talk III tour.

The concert began with introduction performances by local artists Kid Queasy and then followed by T. McAfee with DJ Bombshell on the tables. B96.5 was represented by Playa Ponta Big Homie, who introduced their new host, Tropicana.

Jet Life made an appearance next, with performances by T.Y., Le$, Young Roddy, and Corner Boy P. Fans especially loved Young Roddy’s performance of the sample ‘Crack BC’ from Notorious B.I.G’s ’10 Crack Commandments.’

Curren$y hit the stage in a blue “Kentucky Life” hat rapping ‘Drug Prescription’. Louisville definitely showed a lot of love to Curren$y and Jet Life, with the whole crowd throwing up their ‘Jets’ and vibing with his music that has been around since 2008. He said with a grin, “How ya’ll know all the words to my songs though?”

    ..."La, La, La, La, Lala"

He began performing songs from ‘The Drive In Theatre', like “10 G’s” and “$ Migraine”. He said, “I made one and a half records and I got a drop top Porsche” as he smiled and continued the next beat.

For an hour Curren$y performed and free styled songs from my personal favorite, “The Stoned Immaculate, like “Showroom", “Jet Life” and “Capitol.” Curren$y brings a particular crowd out, so there were a few security incidents, but that didn't prevent Spitta from doing what he does best.

“..And if my reputation precedes me, they already know I keep it capital G apostrophe D”

He performed others, including: “Showroom 2”, “Sixty-Seven Turbo Jet” ,“A Lil Sumthin (Come up on em), “High Top Forces” ,“Godfather 4”, and “Choosin.” He also talked about his love for old classic vehicles and luxury cars. "I bet you all get tired of me posting cars on my Instagram, don't you? I share the things I love with my family so I figured I could share you ya'll," he said as he referred to the crowd as his Jet Life Family.

"..Show em better than I can tell em, they gon feel me"

The audience was told the concert would end around 11 p.m., but that didn’t stop Curren$y. “How bout I go til they drag me out of here,” he said.  He shortly after ended the concert with a full freestyle of Breakfast, from the album “Pilot Talk.”

He then signed four t-shirts and threw them out to the crowd, through up a Jet Life, and walked off stage. Until next time, Curren$y. Louisville has love for you.
