    Bit to Do

On May 18, 1990 — exactly 20 years ago — B. Deemer Gallery (2650 Frankfort Ave.) opened its doors. The biggest difference I notice between the two photographs? No blue mailbox in the updated image. Also, that man standing there in 1990 isn't there today.

The gallery seems to be doing a bit better than the U.S. Postal Service. Just went through B. Deemer last Friday to check out works by St. Louis artist Jeffery Vaughn, up through June 22. The paintings and drawings (I've attached a few of his pieces) are realistic and worth seeing.
