Acclaimed Cult Songwriter-Singer Cory Branan moved to Austin in early Summer
because at some point every great song-writer should, and though great song-writers there are abound, Branan's unique writing style and live show should only affirm to many folks who attend shows on his upcoming tour what Playboy Magazine said, that a new voice emerges to run with the greats. While Branan may indeed be a truly singular songwriter and performer and has many received such accolades in the past, that shouldn't indicate that Branan is particularly vain; rather, Branan once remarked to a music reporter that "All I really want to do is write, record and tour without a lot of fanfare and hopefully folks will like my songs and my show".’

Branan has not signed a new label deal since recording his 2006 release, 12 Songs, though after this US Tour and his first ever European shows opening for Austin's Oh No! Oh My! in October/November, he will enter the studio to record his 3rd album with plans to release it in Spring 2009.
