I'm not a whiny UofL fan, I swear, but it's about to get all miserable up in here. College GameDay has done it again. Well, I guess it's what they won't do.

They seem to not want to come to the KFC Yum! Center. They haven't been to town in the near four and a half years that the University of Louisville has played at their newest home.

On Saturday, January 17, there is a matchup of potential top 5 teams in Duke vs Louisville at the KFC Yum! Center. Mike Krzyzewski, Duke's coach, could possibly be playing to win his 1,000th game. This is the first time the two teams will be competing as conference foes. Great teams, programs, and coaches.

Where will College GameDay be? You guessed it...Iowa.

No. 17 Iowa State hosts No. 12 Kansas that same day. Don't get me wrong, this could be a good game. Any conference game that is a matchup of two top 20 teams has potential for a grind it out, made for television game. Or it could end up like last night's No. 16 Oklahoma vs. No. 10 Texas game where Oklahoma dominated from the tip and won by 21.

It definitely could warrant an appearance by College GameDay, but absolutely not on the same day as a Louisville/Duke matchup.

One possible logistical reason for the choice is time of the game. College GameDay (both its football and basketball versions) believes in locating themselves where the host campus plays the game at night. Louisville's game is at noon while the game in Iowa is at 9 p.m. There's one unfortunate excuse for them.

The Cardinals could have another opportunity to host College GameDay when they welcome both North Carolina and Virginia this season, but if Duke and the potential of Coach K's 1,000th win won't do it, what will?
