Sustainability is more than a buzzword for our time. It’s a way of living in agreement with nature that can improve our lives, heal our planet, provide jobs, boost the bottom line and offer joy in living. Focusing on gloom and doom only saps vital energy we could apply toward a livable future. Whether that’s by making a quilt from scrap fabric or designing a patchwork of community relationships, creative solutions are urgently needed. Join us for this pep talk even if you are already in the choir.
Claude Stephens is the Education Director at Bernheim Forest, a founding partner of Generation 14 (a sustainable design consulting firm), a backyard chicken farmer and the father of a one-year old. Bring a lunch; drinks are provided. Free, but pre-registration is required (812-944-7336). You are welcome to arrive beginning at 11:30 and the talk will begin at noon. Sponsored by the Carnegie Center, Inc.
