Breeders’ Cup Viewing Party: The 31st annual Breeders’ Cup may be running at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Cal. this year, but Louisville-area fans can take in the Breeders’ Cup races while watching live racing at Churchill Downs. The Downs will have a late post for both Breeders’ Cup race days (2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31 and 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1), will air the Breeders’ Cup races on the Big Board in-between Churchill’s live races, and offer $2 Bud/Bud Light and $3 Stella Artois.

Pigskins & Ponies: Every Saturday after the Nov. 1 Breeders’ Cup, Churchill Downs will turn the Paddock Plaza into college gameday. College football will be aired on the big screen in the Paddock Plaza near the Gate 1 entrance every Saturday. Food and drink specials offered during the event include $2 Bud/Bud Light, $3 Stella Artois, $1 Pepsi and bottled water, plus tailgate-style food. Students with a college ID will receive free admission.

Family Adventure Day: Kroger presents Family Adventure Day on Sunday, Nov. 9. A slew of fun activities is on tap for the kids, including inflatables, face painting, corn hole, stick horse races, magic tricks, story time, mini golf, crafts, horse meet and greets, and a special appearance by Churchill Charlie. Participation in Family Adventure Day activities requires the purchase of a Family Pavilion Ticket ($10 for adults and $5 for kids) which includes gate admission and seating in the Grandstand Terrace. Save $5 by purchasing tickets in advance at www.ChurchillDowns.com.
