    Beth Cassity brings her energetic leadership style to the Chamber Jeffersontown.  


     


    Beth comes to Chamber Jeffersontown after seven years as the Executive Director of the Bullitt County Chamber of Commerce.  She had previous work experience in public relations, management, and logistics.  Beth is a Graduate of the University of Louisville with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in management. 


     


    As a chamber professional, she has been successful developing programs that support economic viability.   Her community development expertise includes visioning, strategic planning, event management, task force organization, organizational growth and communications.  Beth has focused on healthcare, workforce development, business retention and education.   She has brought to fruition an Award Winning Health EXPO, a Career and Continuing Education Fair, a Human Resource Group, a Community-Business Showcase, and the Women’s Council.  


     


    Beth was named Executive of the Year, in 2006, by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives.  She is a former board member of K.C.C.E. and speaker for their conferences.  Beth was appointed to the Governor’s Task Force to support the BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) project at Fort Knox. 


     


    As a volunteer she has served as an Advisory Board Member with the Bullitt/Spencer County Red Cross, on the Friends Committee for the Developmentally Disabled, and also on the Community Board for Jewish Hospital Medical Center South. 


     


    She is married to Tom Cassity and has a daughter, Shelby.


     


    Beth will take over for Vicky Weber, past President of The Chamber for 12 years, on lucky St. Patrick’s Day, Monday March 17th, although the Chamber Jeffersontown membership will have their first chance to meet her at the 2008 Business Expo Brunch on Thursday March 13, 2008.
