CenterStage invites you to attend their annual auditions at the Jewish Community Center, located at 3600 Dutchmans Lane, February 16 - February 21. The auditions will be held on Tuesday, February 16 and Wednesday, February 17 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., Saturday, February 20 from 10:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 21 from 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Upon another successful season, John Leffert is looking forward to the next enthralling line-up of performances as artistic director of CenterStage. The upcoming season productions include: “Seussical, the Musical” (July 8-25, 2010)*, “25TH Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” (August 26-September 5, 2010), “Brigadoon” (October 21-31, 2010)*, “Light Up Center Stage” (November 13, 2010), “Man of La Mancha” (January 13-20, 2011), “The Music Man” (March 10-27, 2011)* and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” (May 12-22, 2011). (*Denotes shows in which children will be cast).

The audition process requires adults (ages 14+) to prepare a one-minute monologue and 16 bar selection of a Broadway show tune. Children ages 6-13 are required to prepare 16 bars of a Broadway show tune only. John encourages each participant to tailor his or her selections to the roles in which one may be interested. Please bring sheet music, as CenterStage will provide an accompanist. No acapella or accompaniment tapes or CD’s are allowed. In addition, please come prepared with a headshot and resumè. If needed a dance call will be done at callbacks.
