Whitehall House & Gardens, along with Today’s Woman magazine, is hosting a Mother & Daughter Tea Party on Sunday, May 18, 2008 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at its historic mansion at 3110 Lexington Road.  This generational event will welcome daughters, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, cousins and friends of all ages for a lovely afternoon filled with tea and delicious sweet and savory treats.

In addition to tea, speaker Barbara Bryant, recognized image and etiquette expert and Today’s Woman columnist, will be on-hand to share her tips for proper tea protocol.  Guests will also be welcome to peruse boutique booths with items of interest to women of all ages. Admission to the Mother & Daughter Tea Party is $35/person and $20/child age 12 and under.  Space is limited and reservations are required.  For more information or to make a reservation, please contact Whitehall at (502) 897-2944 or whitehall@historichomes.org.

Proceeds from the Mother & Daughter Tea Party benefit Whitehall House & Gardens, a historic house owned and operated by the not-for-profit Historic Homes Foundation.  Originally built in 1855 as an eight-room farmhouse, the house was transformed in 1909 into the iconic Classical style mansion we know today, epitomizing the stately beauty of early twentieth-century architecture.
